The Golgo is one of Sardinia’s most characteristic valleys.
After picking you up from Tortoli we take a short drive to a group of so called “Domus de Janas”, litterally translated to fairy house, a collective grave from 3100BC.
We then drive u to a viewpoint high above Baunei, from there you have great views towards the mountains and the sea. On the other side of the large valley in front all the towns of the “Blue Zone” are lined up.
Next we continue our drive to the Golgo plain, completely different again due to the basalt that comes to the surface.
On the Golgo plateau we visit:
- the country side church of San Pietro
- the water basins of As Piscinas
- the deepest sinkhole of Sardinia
- and there will be time for a coffee break as well
