The Corbeddu Sondaar Cave, a High Plain at 1200 m, Wall Paintings of Orgosolo and a shepherds lunch.

This tour has it all, Bandits, Shepherds, Mountain tops, Wall paintings and a Unesco protected heritage; the Tenores. We start with visiting the Corbeddu-Sondaar cave, where a bandit lived in the end of the 19th century, almost a hundred years later archeological excavations in this same cave revealed the oldest human bones ever found on a mediterranean island.

Barbagia Highlights

Our next visit is the high plain of Pradu in the Supramonte of Oliena at 1200 meters where some scenes where filmed of the legendary movie “The Bible, in the beginning”. We go for a short stroll and enjoy the wide views all around.

The next highlight is the lunch with the shepherds.

This is always a feast, they will serve you excellent local food like delicious roast pork, red Cannonau wine, pecorino cheese, fine cold cuts, carasau bread, olives and fruit.
